Version 1.0 (pilot) · Effective July 30, 2026 · CarbonXFuture Markets, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
The index carries eight weekly marks: two proprietary CXF waste-oil credit marks (CXF Used Oil — US Gulf; CXF Industrial Re-refining) and six desk observations of the broader voluntary market (Verra REDD+, Gold Standard renewables, ACR/CAR US compliance-grade, Verra blue carbon, Gold Standard cookstoves, Plan Vivo agroforestry). Two compliance benchmarks (EUA, ACCU) and daily physical references (WTI crude, ULSD diesel) are published alongside for context.
CXF marks are reviewed and published weekly, normally on Monday. Each publication carries the "last updated" date visible on the index page; if a week's review results in no change, the prior level is republished with the new date. Physical references refresh daily and independently.
History accrues weekly from the date each mark is first published and is available as a chart, CSV download and open JSON endpoint. Published levels are never revised retroactively — an error identified after publication is corrected in the next publication with a note, and the erroneous point remains visible in the history.
The full history is public for research and integration: GET /rest/v1/price_history on our data endpoint (details on the index page). Attribution required: "Source: CXF Price Index — carbonxfuture.com". Redistribution at scale requires written permission.
The assessor — the CarbonXFuture desk — also operates the marketplace where CXF credits trade. This is disclosed openly, and three safeguards apply: the assessment basis is documented internally for every published mark; levels are cross-checked against public benchmarks; and the no-retroactive-revision rule removes the ability to repaint history.
Anyone may challenge a published level by writing to desk@carbonxfuture.com with the mark, date and grounds. The desk acknowledges within 2 business days and responds with a reasoned outcome, normally within 15 business days; corrections follow Section 4.
This methodology is maintained by CarbonXFuture Markets, Inc. and versioned on this page; material changes are announced with an effective date and apply prospectively only.
